LaTeX is a document preparation system for high-quality typesetting of scientific documents. It is used to write articles and theses nowadays. The main aim of this workshop is to deliver participants, a hands-on skill for writing technical articles or thesis using LaTeX.
Considering its importance, the Faculty of Engineering, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan is organizing Workshop on “Effective Technical Manuscript Preparation using LaTeX” on Tuesday, 24 November 2020 Virtually.
The topics include but not limited to:
Introduction to LaTeX, a general outline of LaTeX document, important packages, math operations, handling figures, handling tables, adding references, useful resources, hands-on practice exercises.
Research Scholars, Students, and Faculty Members are highly encouraged to attend this workshop.
Before coming to the workshop, all are requested to visit the official Overleaf website and create an account by clicking the “REGISTER” button and with a good internet connection. Overleaf is a cloud-based online LaTeX editing portal that provides free accounts for personal use.

It was an amazing workshop. I learned about Latex from sir and have been using it for some time now. It has definitely made writing long documents much easier. Especially, it was really helpful while writing my thesis. Highly recommended tool. This workshop helped clear a lot of my confusions and also showed some easier way of doing complex tasks.
It was an amazing workshop as it helped in clearing many of my confusions and I was also able to learn some very easy ways of doing complex tasks.
I have learned Latex from sir and it has made thesis writing and report writing a tension free task, as I don’t have to worry about formatting and can easily focus on the content.

Sir you delivered great, in my openion Latex is obviously a great tool, i would rather say this is actually a project before we do our research work. So, there is some sort of confusion in my mind about centeric focus on latex learning or doing research and try to find some innovation. I basically want to know weightage you can assign on our level and during Ph.D. research work from your experience.
